؛¬ذك²فتسئµ enrollment increases by 187 students for fall 2020

Although COVID-19 presented many challenges to the start of the fall semester, the University of Louisiana Monroe is proud to announce an increase in enrollment. With a total enrollment of 8,676 for fall 2020, ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ increased its fall enrollment by 187 students over fall 2019.ج‎ ج‎

“Our increase in enrollment is the result of many students and families recognizing ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ as one of the best in the world at what we do. The ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ family of faculty and staff diligently work to be second to none as we continue to support our students’ successes through a transformational process,â€‌ said ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ President Dr. Ronald Berry.

؛¬ذك²فتسئµ had an increase in the first-time freshman class and undergraduate transfer students.ج‎

The freshman class is an extremely academically accomplished class. Ninety percent of incoming freshmen had a high school GPA of 3.0 or above. Their average high school GPA is 3.54 with an average ACT score of 22.ج‎

“I’m really proud of our ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ recruitment and admissions team for coming together for our students.ج‎ The increase in enrollment is a testament to their dedication and ability to adapt in challenging times,â€‌ stated Sami Owens, Executive Director of Recruitment and Admissions.ج‎

؛¬ذك²فتسئµ saw a significant increase in graduate student enrollment with 1,478 students enrolled for the fall 2020 semester, the largest graduate enrollment the institution has seen in 36 years.ج‎

“Graduate enrollment at ؛¬ذك²فتسئµ is at a 36-year high. I am incredibly proud of the relentless and dedicated work of the admissions team, graduate marketing, program coordinators and student support, and outreach from across campus,â€‌ said Sushma Krishnamurthy, Ph.D., Dean of the Graduate School.ج‎
